At the crossroads of civilization, the last step

Human civilization has reached its existential crossroads. It is there and now is the time for our civilization to take the leap. We have to choose either the technocratic way of development based on selfishness and competition, or the release of the latent potential of our subtle energies, which can only develop on the basis of altruism and cooperation.

Ultimately, technocracy, will lead to the complete degradation and cease of the experiment called "Homo sapiens on the planet Earth." If we find the strength to go the second way, we are looking at the path of revival and development of man as a creator.

Graphics: China Ghost Towns

It's no secret many cities in China are haunted by too much building and not enough people. One Beijing newspaper devised an index to illustrate the problem is no phantom.

A housing market boom and local governments' enthusiasm for economy-boosting projects have resulted in an oversupply of homes in many cities around the country. Academic research, reports by financial institutions and news articles often refer to cities as "ghost towns" because apartments are vacant and streets are deserted.

On October 13, China Investment Network, a business newspaper in Beijing, released a "ghost town index" to determine which cities were, well, the most ghostly. The newspaper devised its index using a government standard that says cities should have 10,000 people per square kilometer.

Evaluating Ebola as a Biological Weapon

Over the past few weeks, I've had people at speaking engagements ask me if I thought the Islamic State or some other militant group is using Ebola as a biological weapon, or if such a group could do so in the future. Such questions and concerns are not surprising given the intense media hype that surrounds the disease, even though only one person has died from Ebola out of the three confirmed cases in the United States. The media hype about the threat posed by the Islamic State to the United States and the West is almost as bad. Both subjects of all this hype were combined into a tidy package on Oct. 20, when the Washington Post published an editorial by columnist Mark Thiessen in which he claimed it would be easy for a group such as the Islamic State to use Ebola in a terrorist attack. Despite Thiessen's claims, using Ebola as a biological warfare agent is much more difficult than it might appear at first blush.

All the world’s gold to be confiscated and buried in Switzerland by 2020

In what pretends to be a history looking back from the future ‘Currency Wars’ author and fund manager Jim Rickards argues that by 2020 all the gold of the G-20 nations will be confiscated and buried in a former nuclear bunker under a mountain in Switzerland to take it out of the global financial system.

This is the conclusion to the astonishing tour de force article that kicks off his new monthly newsletter ‘Rickards’ Strategic Intelligence’ for Agora Financial, publisher of highly successful financial newsletters like Chris Mayers’ ‘Capital & Crisis’. Has the normally sober and thoughful Mr. Rickards lost his marbles?

Four Horsemen

Four Horsemen is a 2012 British film pamphlet directed by Ross Ashcroft. The film criticises the system of fractional reserve banking, debt-based economy and political lobbying by banks, which it regards as a serious threat to Western civilisation. It criticises the War on Terror, which it maintains is not fought to eliminate al-Qaeda and other militant organizations, but to create larger debt to the banks. As an alternative, the film promotes a return to classical economics and the gold standard. Among those interviewed are Joseph Stiglitz, former chief economist at the World Bank; Noam Chomsky, linguistics professor; John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic Hit Man; Herman Daly, economy professor; and Max Keiser, TV host and former trader.

IS is created and maintained by American and Israeli intelligence services. The main objective for them is Iran?

Undoubtedly, the IS is supported by world corporatocracy and intelligence agencies. The main purpose of this is Iran, the only deadly enemy of Israel in the region. Direct confrontation between Israel and Iran is not likely to bring victory to Israel, and may only unite the Arab world against the Jews. But Israel hopes to solve this problem by using their control teams of IS. Why IS did not protested or threatened Israel during summer operations against Palestine? Why even the airstrikes are still not stopping them ?

Rampage - Capital Punishment: Shadow elite sentenced "moneybags" to destruction?

In this article we would like to talk about the new movie by Uwe Boll, "Rampage: Capital Punishment", published in 2014. Those who were lucky enough to see this film, definitely wondered what it is what Uwe Boll wanted to tell us, and it may not even be Uwe, but who else?

Sure, Uwe performs just order, shaping the future of the matrix. And mind you, the first film with a similar theme," Assault on Wall Street" was perceived by the audience quite positively. Uwe hit the nail chastising banksters, with the hands of the common man. Justice has been done, and the evil bankers were punished.

Turkey vs ISIS?

William Engdahl: Obama’s ‘War on Ebola’

For a Nobel Peace Prize President, Barack Obama seems destined to go down in history books as the President who presided over one of the most aggressive series of wars ever waged by a bellicose Washington Administration. Not even George Bush and Dick Cheney came close.

First, before the ink was even dry on his Nobel Prize certificate, Obama announced the Afghanistan “surge”, pouring another 30,000 US military into that destroyed part of the world. Then came Obama’s war against Libya’s Qaddafi, followed rapidly by his war to try to topple Syria’s Bashar al Assad.

Former Polish President Walesa Lech in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa said: "Putin wants to wreak havoc in Poland, as it did in the Ukraine. That’s why we want NATO to provide us with the best missiles in its possession, to establish them here and focus in the right direction," - said former Polish President Lech Walesa.

Guido Steinberg: "Jihadism - has become a German phenomenon"

German jihadists are participating in the 'Islamic State's' war of terror. Security experts fear they could also pose a threat to Germany. Islamic studies scholar Guido Steinberg says political action is needed.

DW: Mr. Steinberg, you are an expert on jihadism, Iraq and Syria and have just written a book on this topic. How deeply rooted do you think the jihad movement is in German society?

Guido Steinberg: In the past few years, jihadism has become a German phenomenon. The perpetrators of 9/11 were Arab students, all of whom came to Germany between 1992 and 1996 to study, but who were influenced by their home country.

Cessation of supplies of palladium from Russia can paralyze the entire global automotive industry

Russia still has a strong leverage on the global economy.

Supplies of palladium from Russia account for more than 53% of the world's supply.

In the case of Russian response to the sanctions, including the suspension of the supply of palladium on world markets could possibly paralyze and even completely collapse the world car market.

We wish to remind that the palladium is used in the automotive industry as a catalyst for the exhaust gases.

The GMO Labeling Conundrum

It would seem that large agricultural corporations touting genetically modified organisms (GMOs) they claim possess enhanced benefits for farmers and consumers would be proud to differentiate their products on the shelves from organic and traditionally produced food. However that is not the case. Not only is big-ag attempting to hide the true nature of their products, but the many big-business food processors that incorporate GMO ingredients into their final products are likewise attempting to mislead consumers.

The obvious fear is that consumers will avoid GMO products in favor of those not labeled as modified. While other arguments have been made in attempts to justify not properly labeling food as genetically modified or not, the underlying theme appears to be the belief of big-ag that consumers’ ignorance over the alleged safety of GMO products threatens their business and with it, innovations they claim are a benefit not only to their bottom lines, but to all of humanity.
